Discover BIAB, or Builder In A Bottle. BIAB is for those who are looking for extra reinforcement and protection of the natural nail. With this Builder In A Bottle gel you not only create a good base for gel polish, but you can also perform small extensions and corrections.

Preparing the nails:

  • Start with clean and dry nails. Remove old gel polish and gently push back your cuticles.
  • Use a nail file to file your nails into the desired shape. File gently and in one direction to avoid tearing and damage.
  • Use a nail buffer/file to lightly go over the surface of each nail. This will help the gel polish/BIAB adhere better to the nail plate.
  • Then clean your nails thoroughly, making sure there is no dust on them and that the nail is free of grease.
  • Then apply some nail prep to your nails and let it air dry for 30 seconds.

Apply BIAB

  • Then apply a layer of base coat and cure this layer under the lamp.
  • Shake the bottle of BIAB well before using it. Place a ball of BIAB on your nail and spread it over your nail in a floating motion. Use a thin brush to spread the BIAB along the edges of your nail. Work carefully to prevent the product from touching the cuticles. Before you start curing your nail, turn your hand over for a few seconds. This way, the product will flow nicely to the middle, instead of to the sides. This also helps you maintain a nice curve. Cure this layer well under the UV/LED lamp. It is best to do this nail by nail, this way there will be a nice curve in the middle of the nail and you will prevent the BIAB product from running out. 

Did you know that you can also do small extensions with BIAB? Use nail tips or templates for this.

  • Second coat (optional). If you need more reinforcement or want the color to cover better, repeat the previous step.
  • You can also apply a different gel polish color over the BIAB.
  • When you are satisfied with the result, apply another layer of topcoat and don't forget to seal the front properly as well.
  • Apply some cuticle oil to your cuticles and massage gently to keep them moisturized.

With these steps you can easily apply BIAB yourself. And remember, practice makes perfect!
